Laura Kehoe, Founder
I am a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Victoria, Canada. I'm interested in figuring out the most cost-effective ways to conserve wildlife. I came up with the idea for 400Trees.org after discovering a recent Nature article on how many trees are left on earth. I sometimes get depressed at the state of the world. The environmental and humanitarian problems we face seem so huge and hard to tackle. This changed when I realized that if we break these big issues down and do our part we can improve this mess. I chose to work with Trees for the Future as they not only plant trees, but also improve lives.
